Foundations of Classroom Support and Instruction (519) (First Test Admin 1/27/26)

Registration for the new Foundations of Classroom Support and Instruction (519) test is now open for testing starting January 27, 2026.

Foundations of Classroom Support and Instruction (519) is a National Evaluation Series™ test. This is the official certification test to fulfill the content knowledge requirement for candidates seeking Teaching Assistant Certification.

Format	Computer-based test (CBT): 80 selected-response items
Time	2 hours and 15 minutes total appointment time 15 minutes for CBT tutorial and nondisclosure agreement 2 hours testing time
Breaks	You may take restroom breaks during testing. Time taken for breaks is considered part of the available testing time.
Test Dates	By appointment year-round, Monday through Saturday (excluding some holidays) Check appointment availability .
Test Sites	Located in New York State and nationwide. Find the nearest test center .
Passing Score	220
Test Features	None.
Test Fee	$49 Review payment information.
Score Reporting	View score report dates. A scaled score is provided immediately after testing; score reports are released within two weeks of testing.
