Foundations of Classroom Support and Instruction (519) (First Test Admin 1/27/26)

Registration for the new Foundations of Classroom Support and Instruction (519) test is now open for testing starting January 27, 2026.

Foundations of Classroom Support and Instruction (519) starting 9/1/26 will have administration options of computer-based testing centers (CBT), Online Proctoring (OP) and Client Proctoring (CP) with a private access code.

Foundations of Classroom Support and Instruction (519) is a National Evaluation Series™ test. This is the official certification test to fulfill the content knowledge requirement for candidates seeking Teaching Assistant Certification.

Format	Computer-based test (CBT) and online proctored test: 80 selected-response items
Time	Computer-Based Testing 2 hours and 15 minutes total appointment time 15 minutes for CBT tutorial and nondisclosure agreement 2 hours testing time	Online Proctoring 2 hours and 15 minutes total appointment time 15 minutes for tutorial and nondisclosure agreement 2 hours testing time
Breaks	Computer-Based Testing You may take restroom breaks during testing. Time taken for breaks is considered part of the available testing time.	Online Proctoring No breaks are allowed.
Test Dates	Computer-Based Testing By appointment year-round, Monday through Saturday (excluding some holidays) Check appointment availability .	Online Proctoring By appointment with an online proctor during one-week testing windows each month.

Score Reporting	Computer-Based Testing View score report dates. A scaled score is provided immediately after testing; score reports are released within two weeks of testing.	Online Proctoring Score reports are released within two weeks of testing. Candidates taking an online-proctored test will not receive preliminary test results when their test ends.
