SCHOOL LEADERSHIP ASSESSMENTS SCHEDULE

The NYSTCE School Leadership Assessments address New York Education Law and Commissioner's Regulations, which require prospective New York State school leaders to pass designated tests as a requirement for receiving state certification. The assessments include School Building Leader, School District Leader, and School District Business Leader.

Test Dates

The following table provides the 2008–2009 test dates, registration deadlines, and score report dates for the School Leadership Assessments.

* The score report date for the October 25, 2008, administration will be January 23, 2009, to accommodate activities related to the setting of passing standards.
** Your registration must be completed by 5:00 p.m. eastern time on the registration deadline for the period.
*** To register by telephone, you must call by 5:00 p.m. eastern time on the emergency registration deadline.

Registration

Internet registration for the School Leadership Assessments will be available beginning August 26, 2008, on the NYSTCE Web site at www.nystce.nesinc.com.

Test Sessions and Fees

Each assessment comprises two parts. Part One is administered in the morning test session, and Part Two is administered in the afternoon test session. The test fee for each part of the assessment is $195. You may take one or both parts of the assessment on the same test date.
