What's New in 2014–2015?
Additional NYSTCE Tests Being Offered on Computer Only
The following redeveloped NYSTCE content specialty tests are offered on computer only beginning September 22, 2014:
- Business and Marketing
- Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Educational Technology Specialist
- English Language Arts
- Family and Consumer Sciences
- Gifted Education
- Health Education
- Library Media Specialist
Multi-Subject tests: This test has been split into three specific grade levels:
- Early Childhood (Birth–Grade 2)
- Childhood (Grades 1–6)
- Middle Childhood (Grades 5–9)
- Physical Education
- Students with Disabilities
In addition, the following NYSTCE content specialty test transitioned from a paper-based test to a computer-based test to be offered on computer only beginning September 22, 2014:
- Technology Education
The following NYSTCE content specialty test was created for those candidates that are applying for the Students with Disabilities—Grades 7–12 Generalist certificate. All candidates for this certificate are required to pass the exam.
- Multi-Subject: Secondary Teachers (Grade 7–Grade 12) CST
