PREPARING FOR THE TESTS

Studying the test framework, which contains the entire set of test objectives for your test field, is the first step in preparing to take the NYSTCE. Test frameworks for all fields except the Assessment of Teaching Skills—Performance (ATS–P) (video) are available and can be viewed or downloaded (at no charge) by selecting "Test Frameworks" on the NYSTCE Web site.

Preparation guides for all tests other than the Assessment of Teaching Skills—Performance (ATS–P) (video) are available and can be viewed or downloaded (at no charge) by selecting "Preparation Guides" on the NYSTCE Web site. Each preparation guide contains information about the test, test objectives, and sample test questions.

The ATS–P (Video) Information Guide, which includes the ATS–P objectives, registration requirements, and directions for recording and submitting the video recording, can be viewed or downloaded (at no charge) by selecting "ATS–P (Video) Information Guide" on the NYSTCE Web site.
